'Strength of Song and Dance' with Ty "Dancing Wolf" Ellis

“The Strength of Song and Dance” is a family-friendly event that will feature evocative music and rhythmic movements traditional to the Lenape and Nanticoke tribes, and modern to all indigenous people.

The Ellis-Gould family of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape tribe, and Lenapehoking Reestablishment Project, will be exhibiting some of these dance styles, educating the public on a variety of art forms, and selling indigenous crafts during the event.

The John F. Peto Studio Museum received funding this year from a grant administered by the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of State.
