Do More with Your IRA

Did you know that your IRA can be used to support your favorite charities? Known as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), if you are 70½ or older, you can use your IRA to make a tax-smart contribution to support the John F. Peto Studio Museum.

Your Benefits

  • IRA charitable gifts are excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes.
  • If 72 or older, transfers can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year in which you made the gift.
  • Your support will help the Peto fulfill its mission of supporting  the arts and bringing art instruction to underserved communities.

To take advantage of this opportunity, donors must be age 70½ or older at the time of the gift and transfers must be made directly from a traditional IRA account and through your plan administrator.
