The museum frequently offers new and exciting programs such as new gallery exhibitions every Spring and Fall, our “Fridays at Peto” series, featuring guest lecturers with periodic topics of interest, University art student exhibitions, and “A Painting a Day” art course by Abby Ryan. Last fall, Roy Pedersen of Pedersen Gallery, Lambertville, New Jersey, approached the John F. Peto Studio Museum about staging an exhibition focusing on artist George Stave (1923-2011) and his plein air landscape paintings. It’s the “Rock ‘n Roll with Fiber” world of this group of Jersey-guys and their ‘musical friends’ who just can’t seem to ‘retire their guitars’ and likely never will!
