Experience the magic of Peto’s studio, preserved just as it was during his artistic journey from 1880 until his passing in 1907. The dedication of the Peto family has kept the home alive with many of the artist’s and his extended family’s cherished belongings and furnishings, each one telling a story from the vibrant Island Heights arts community of the 1800s. Peto was not only a masterful painter but also a gifted photographer, leaving behind a priceless photographic record that beautifully captures the serene life he created for himself and his family in Ocean County, New Jersey.
