A PowerPoint presentation by R. Joseph Latshaw III about the historic Old Methodist Cemetery, located at the corner of Hooper Avenue and Washington Street in Toms River. So, the bigger question is, since Island Heights dates back to the 1600’s, what happened to the bodies??? He will also discuss burial practices of the time and how they would have been applied to early residents of the area.

Come and experience the last flight of the Hindenburg from Frankfurt Germany to Lakehurst, NJ in 1937! At 803.8 feet in length and 135.1 feet in diameter, the German passenger airship Hindenburg (LZ-129) was the largest aircraft ever to fly. The commercial flights of Hindenburg, along with Graf Zeppelin, pioneered the first transatlantic air service. She carried hundreds of passengers and traveled thousands of miles before it burned in a tragic fire on May 6, 1937 at NAS Lakehurst or (Manchester, NJ.).
