Friends of the Ixchel Museum proudly present Wearable Art of the Maya: An Exhibition of Time-Honored Textiles at the John F. Peto Studio Museum. This captivating exhibition highlights the rich textile traditions of the Maya in Guatemala, creating a unique connection between Island Heights and Guatemala.

As you explore the exhibition, you will also be treated to the treasures of Peto's Permanent Collection, which showcases John F. Peto's Studio and original artwork.  Additionally, don’t miss the engaging pop-up exhibit titled In a Word. This thought-provoking display highlights the power of words that hold personal significance, featuring the innovative contributions of artists from MOVIS. We invite you to immerse yourself in this vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community!
