In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the Peto Museum of Island Heights will be highlighting the contributions of the Women of Peto, to include his daughter Helen (who was a watercolorist); Peto’s female students (including Emily Perkins); and art and artifacts of other Peto family members. The history of Peto’s granddaughter Joy Smiley’s life growing up in the Studio will also be explored, as will the works of some of the founding members of the Peto Museum – Jean Wetta and Alice Askoff.

Music Under the Stars: Tommy B and the Deep Blue Sea

8/21/2020 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET

For thirty-five years Tom Brennan and Gary Neuwirth have been making music featuring rootsy guitar and sparkling harmonica playing. Now they are joined by singer-songwriter-guitarist John Murphy as well as bassist Jim Henry and drummer TJ Esposito for a whole new vibe. They love being a dance band. TBnDBS knows how to give folks what they want: music to move to! This band is working with a new group of talented musicians to keep the momentum going following their first record of original work.

Grounds open at 6 pm. Bring your picnic baskets, refreshments, lawn chairs or rent a table and six chairs for $100.

Donations appreciated.
