In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the Peto Museum of Island Heights will be highlighting the contributions of the Women of Peto, to include his daughter Helen (who was a watercolorist); Peto’s female students (including Emily Perkins); and art and artifacts of other Peto family members. The history of Peto’s granddaughter Joy Smiley’s life growing up in the Studio will also be explored, as will the works of some of the founding members of the Peto Museum – Jean Wetta and Alice Askoff.

Peto Presents: Flower Arranging Workshop

Discover the joys of flower arranging at home. Learn about the proper tools to have for easy flower arranging, and explore the types of flowers that work best for the non-professional, the best types of containers to use, and mixing texture and color schemes. Each participant will work on their own arrangement to take home. Flowers and container included. Bring your own snips or scissors! Fee: $20 for supplies.
